The satirical image above is not far-wrong given the result of the disastrous policies of Gordon Smith and Bush administration from their short-term political goals and avoiding a long-term solution in the water crisis in the Klamath River Basin in Southern Oregon and Northern California. In order to secure rural county votes in the last election cycle, they over-rode water level policies to appease area farmers, when they could and should have bought out those willing to sell to save salmon runs (and the fishing industry).
