GOPspeak for Peace

How to make sense of the Republican Party in 2004.

"The more progress we make on the ground, the more free the Iraqis become, the more electricity that's available, the more jobs are available, the more kids that are going to school, the more desperate these killers become,"

That was President George W. Bush back in October 27th, 2003, some six months after 'Mission Accomplished' was proclaimed by this same President. In short, the more our soldiers are being killed, the more we are winning the peace. That's the 'logic' of the Right-Wing (Fright-Wing™).

They employ doublethink and doublespeak to try and convince the public that when things go wrong, they are really going right; that the more our troops die for this disastrous, ill-conceived and poorly planned 'winning the peace' military engagement, the better things are going.

This is wholly Orwellian style propaganda and insane. Yet from this sort of 'logic' to the farce of the 'Fly Paper Theory' which the Fright-Wing™ tried to use to rationalize the war in Iraq, there seems to be no desperate gambit the Fright-Wing™ will not try to use to sell their lies and jingoistic hubris.
